Upper East Side Townhouse

This project included a total renovation of five wonderful exterior spaces of this townhome.

Hammered bronze planters and Ilex trees in the entryway established the high-end look and feel of the landscaping throughout this space. In the ground level courtyard, beautiful Pietra Cardoza sandstone flooring was installed alongside 35-ft tall Bamboo Grove, providing natural, durable fencing. The Powder coated aluminum planters placed on the first level were carried into the second floor terrace which was encased by classic Boxwood hedges.

Italian flooring continued on to the fifth floor terrace with the addition of step slabs. Granite sofas were installed for outdoor dining in the space in which we constructed a fully functioning exterior kitchen equipped with a built-in grill, pizza oven, sink, refrigerator, ice maker, and custom countertops, cabinets, and backsplash. Curved blackened stainless steel planters were used to maintain the modern style of the space, while the fireplace, dogwood planting, and rosewall lighting added warmth and subtle color.

On the rooftop, the terrace kitchen was duplicated along with the Pietra Cardoza flooring and blackened stainless steel planters for continuity. Two specimens of Yoshino cherry trees craned into place and Ilex hedges distinguished the spaces from one another, while the white color pallet emphasized the open airiness of the rooftop.
